Building upon its established security Cisco SecureX, Cisco is extending the Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance, the world’s most widely deployed firewall platform, with the new Cisco® ASA CX Context-Aware Security solution. This solution moves the ASA platform well beyond the capabilities of existing “next generation” firewalls by providing unprecedented visibility into security threats and highly-customizable application access control. The Cisco ASA CX enables administrators to control which devices and users have access, and which type of access, to network resources and more than 1,000 applications and 75,000 micro-applications. Additionally, Cisco is updating its midrange firewall appliances to use the Cisco SecureX Framework for a context-aware approach to security. With additions to the Cisco TrustSec® solution and its policy-management platform, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco is once again setting the industry benchmark for security.

The Cisco® Catalyst® 3750-X and 3560-X Series Switches are an enterprise-class lines of stackable and standalone switches, respectively. These switches provide high availability, scalability, security, energy efficiency, and ease of operation with innovative features such as Cisco StackPower (available only on the Catalyst 3750-X), IEEE 802.3at Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) configurations, optional network modules, redundant power supplies, and Media Access Control Security (MACsec) features. The Cisco Catalyst 3750-X Series with StackWise® Plus technology provides scalability, ease of management and investment protection for the evolving business needs. The Cisco Catalyst 3750-X and 3560-X enhance productivity by enabling applications such as IP telephony, wireless, and video for borderless network experience.

Moxa’s new VPort 26A-1MP IP camera is the world’s first dome-type extreme weather HD IP camera designed to operate reliably in a -40 to 75°C temperature range—without a fan or heater. Designed for industrial applications, the VPort 26A-1MP is armed with rugged features for both day and night outdoor surveillance in harsh environments, and delivers superior video performance, DNR and WDR functions, and IP bandwidth optimization. In keeping with Moxa’s emphasis on industrial reliability, the VPort 26-1MP is part of Moxa’s new generation of extreme weather IP cameras designed to operate in a -40 to 75°C temperature range, without a fan or heater, making the VPort 26-1MP suitable for both blistering hot deserts and sub-zero snow covered environments. TheVPort 26A-1MP’s robust IP66 standard metal housing and EN 62262 IK10 vandal-proof dome cover provide exceptional weatherproofing and protection, and the camera’s dehumidifying membrane keeps moisture out. In addition, the VPort 26-1MP is EN 50121-4 compliant, making it well suited for demanding railway, public safety, and high humidity applications, including tunnels, and offshore and heavy duty industries.

MOBOTIX Launches New Camera Platform – M15

The M15 offers the latest in MOBOTIX‘ camera system technology and follows a proud tradition that we have started over 13 years ago with the M1 and have continued with the M10 and M12, We are confident that the M15 will be breaking ground in many ways; technically, as a product platform concept, design-wise and because it is developed in a unique combination between end-users and MOBOTIX". The M15 is naturally developed around the MOBOTIX dezentralized system technology which saves costs, management and network resources for the end-user. The M15 product platform offers two exchangeable 5 Megapixel sensor modules which are exactly the same modules as for the recently launched S15. "We have developed the M15 in close cooperation with our end-users and partners. Our end-users want a dynamic platform that can change with their current and future needs, and our partners want a platform for many different applications,“ continued Dr. Hinkel. As the sensor modules can be easily exchanged by the end-user, they will always have an up-to-date camera surveillance system regardless of original mounting place and, at that time, the intended focus of that specific camera. “The end-users and our partners can today choose up to 5 completely different sensor combinations for this platform and in the future there will be even more.
